Dear Family and Friends at Arbyrd and Cardwell,
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.
Would love to be at Arbyrd Banquet but to hard to travel in the winter.
Love to All Wilma
To all in the class of 1947 of Arbyrd High School. Greetings: I would like to attend the Alumni Banquet this year, but I had surgery Wed. (18) and am recuperating. I am doing fine, but just couldn't make the trip this year. Wish all of the class a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Hi all AHS scholars! Sorry I can't make the Banquet again this year. Hope all of you that do have a great time! May the best class of all -- The Class of '48 -- have good representation!
Glad to see the guestbook back up. Thank you Wilma for letting me know. Wanted to Say Hello to VC Wheeler, and send a hello to my mothers classmates. We were down there just to see Becky Lou our cousin during the Fest that Arbyrd was having. It was nice to see all the people turning out for the parade, wish we could have stayed longer but mom was not doing good and that trip was to hard on her. You all have a good reunion this year wish we were able to attend but like I have said mom is not able to travel anymore.
For all that knew Melvin Holloway, word comes from Larry's wife that Melvin passed away last night. I have no details.
I have to make a correction to the previous post. The young man killed in the auto accident with Candace was NOT the grandson of Lindel and Wilma Chilton. Our hearts and prayers go out to the loved ones of the young man who was killed and I know you share with me in the relief that it was NOT Chilton's grandson.
Most of you may know that James & Jonell Scott's and Lindel & Wilma Chilton's grandchildren were killed in a terrible automobile accident October 23rd. I offer my prayers and condolences for their terrible losses. For you that don't know, James graduated from Arbyrd in the class of '53 and Wilma from the class of '52. Both grandchildren attended Southland.
I dont know where the ames cott came from. The question came from James Scott
QUESTION??? Why cant Arbyrd have a recent update on their Home page monthly? I have to go to the ddd website to catch up on the news. Thanks Arbyrd

I've been writing this information on official documents for almost 72 years.
My mother was Louise Hodge and my father was Bud Carter. They lived out at Sandy Corners until I was about three years old. Then they moved up to St. Louis.
Mom's sister is Wilma. One of my Mom's uncles was Moss Hodge. I know next to nothing about Arbyrd, but is has been a part of me all these years on all of my official records. It doesn't seem right to have been using the name of Arbyd, Missour all these years and to know so little about it. My memories of it are of a three year old. I remember a Mr. Schrum.
My grandmother lived there most of her life. Her name was Lottie Jackson. Sometime I wonder what my life would have been like if I had grown up there. I have a few stories that I could share if some one there would care to write me and tell me what Arbyd is like - the city where I was born. Louie Carter
I was named for my grandfather Louie Hodge.
