The Arbyrd City Council approved the repair and purchase of several items including, repairs to the city water tower, rehab to the city sewer, and repair of the heater on the city truck, during the city council meeting on Monday. Arbyrd Chief of Police Mitch Skelton noted that the majority of repairs to the water tower were safety precautions for the people completing work on the tower. He added that the interior painting for the tower would cost the city 2,250, and the repair of the extension overflow would cost the city $6,250. Alderman Jessica Zolman noted that she believed the city should complete the target system and fuel line repairs while repairing the other items, because they were requested by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR). Skelton explained to Zolman that DNR would probably recommend the city complete the two items, but it would be hard to do add to the interior painting job and repair of the overflow. Zolman asked if DNR would let the city wait until the exterior painting was completed, which would be within the next two years. "They will probably want us to have it completed by the time.......
